If the Home Minister is true to his words, the Rules, especially numbers 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 must be scrapped. Consequently, provision for the NRC contained in the amended resolution would be rendered infructuous and, hence, the 2003 Citizenship Amendment Act must also be amended.
