DELHI WANTS PEACE

Citizen’s Sit in for Peace
On 26 February 2020 at 2pm
at Jantar Mantar

Nearly hundred civil society organizations, platforms, intellectuals and concerned citizens, met today, 25 February 2020 and expressed deep anguish and concern in the communal violence in Delhi. Twenty people including a police officer have been already been killed. There is apprehension that the death toll may increase unless urgent and effective measures are taken. Incidents of violence are continuing unabated. The police inaction is shocking.
We appeal to the people of Delhi to rise to the occasion and make all efforts for restoration of peace and communal harmony in the city.
We have decided to organise a sit in for peace at Jantar Mantar at 2pm tomorrow, 26 February 2020.
These are the pictures of today’s Sit in for Peace.
