ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট পার্টি (মার্কসবাদী) বিক্ষোভকারীদের ওপর এই পুলিশি হেনস্থার তীব্র নিন্দা জানাচ্ছে এবং সমস্ত দাবি পূরণ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত লড়াই চালিয়ে যাওয়ার অঙ্গীকার করছে। |
ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট পার্টি (মার্কসবাদী)-র পলিট ব্যুরো নিম্নলিখিত বিবৃতিটি জারি করেছে:
মুখ্য নির্বাচন কমিশনারের (সিইসি) অপসারণের দাবিতে ভারতের নির্বাচন কমিশনের সদর দপ্তরের সামনে বামপন্থী দলগুলি এক বিক্ষোভ প্রদর্শন কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করে। ভারতের নির্বাচন কমিশনের প্রধান কার্যালয় 'নির্বাচন সদন'-এর প্রবেশদ্বারের দিকে এগোনোর সময় বহু বামপন্থী কর্মীকে আটক করা হয়। শান্তিপূর্ণ এই বিক্ষোভ কর্মসূচিতে বাধা দিতে এবং বিক্ষোভকারীদের আটক করতে দিল্লি পুলিশ নির্মম বলপ্রয়োগ করে ও তাঁদের টেনে-হিঁচড়ে নিয়ে যায়। বিক্ষোভ চলাকালীন মহিলা বিক্ষোভকারীদের পুরুষ পুলিশ আধিকারিকদের দ্বারা হেনস্থা ও আটক করা হয়। বাম দলগুলির ঘোষিত সপ্তাহব্যাপী দেশব্যাপী কর্মসূচির অংশ ছিল এই বিক্ষোভ, যেখানে মূলত দাবি জানানো হয়: – মুখ্য নির্বাচন কমিশনারের (সিইসি) অপসারণ – এসআইআর (SIR) প্রক্রিয়া অবিলম্বে বন্ধ করা – এসআইআর প্রক্রিয়ায় অন্যায়ভাবে বাদ পড়া সমস্ত প্রকৃত ভোটারকে পুনরায় ভোটার তালিকায় অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা – মুখ্য নির্বাচন কমিশনার ও অন্যান্য কমিশনার নিয়োগ সংক্রান্ত ২০২৩ সালের আইন বাতিল করা এবং নির্বাচন কমিশনার নিয়োগের ক্ষেত্রে সুপ্রিম কোর্টের নির্দেশিকা অনুসরণ করা

এই বিক্ষোভ কর্মসূচিতে নেতৃত্ব দেন সিপিআই(এম)-এর সাধারণ সম্পাদক কমরেড এম. এ. বেবি, প্রবীণ নেত্রী বৃন্দা কারাত ও সুভাষিণী আলী, পলিট ব্যুরো সদস্য কমরেড বি. ভি. রাঘবুলু ও আর. অরুণ কুমার, সাংসদ ভি. শিবদাসন ও এ. এ. রহিম, সিপিআই-এর দিল্লি রাজ্য সম্পাদক কমরেড দীনেশ বার্শনি, সিপিআই(এমএল)-এর কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সদস্য সুচেতা দে, আরএসপি-র জাতীয় সম্পাদকমন্ডলীর সদস্য রাজীব দিমরি, ফরওয়ার্ড ব্লকের দিল্লি রাজ্য সম্পাদক ধর্মেন্দ্র বর্মা এবং সিজিপিআই (CGPI) নেতা বিরজু নায়েক।

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:
Oust the CEC, Halt the SIR
The Left parties conducted a protest demonstration in front of the Election Commission of India Headquarters demanding the ouster of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). Dozens of cadres of Left parties were detained while attempting to reach the gate of Nirvachan Sadan, the head office of the Election Commission of India. Delhi police dragged and used brutal force on the peaceful protesters to detain them and disrupt the protest. Women protesters were manhandled and detained by male police officers during the protest demonstration.
The protest was part of a week-long nationwide call given by the Left parties demanding:
– Ouster of the CEC
– Immediate halt to the SIR process
– Reinclusion of all the genuine voters who were unjustly removed during the SIR process.
– Rescinding the 2023 Act on appointment of CEC and other Commissioners, and following Supreme Court guidelines in the appointment of the ECs.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) condemns the manhandling of protestors and vows to carry on the fight till all the demands are met.
This protest was led by CPI(M) General Secretary, Comrade M.A. Baby, veteran leaders Brinda Karat and Subhashini Ali, Polit Bureau Members Comrade B.V. Raghavulu and R. Arun Kumar, Member of Parliament V. Sivadasan and A.A.
